Preface

Welcome
to the web site intended to shed some light on a radio mystery we call the Wobbler.  On these pages are descriptions in words, sounds and images of the radio signal that has captured the attention of several radio hobby enthusiasts.  The effort to locate the source and cause of this strange radio signal is detailed in this ongoing investigation.

We begin with Recent Changes  for those returning to this site for another visit, who wish to check out the latest on the Wobbler.  This is followed by a little correction in our course of discovery -- a name change described in Warbler no more which brought us to what we now call the Wobbler.  This is wrapped up In Summary to complete this brief welcome.

Links to the rest of the web site are listed in the Table of Contents from which you can browse through the various sections of the site.

Please feel free to peruse these pages however best suits you.  Hopefully you will be motivated to try catching the Wobbler yourself.  Someone will solve the mystery, maybe it will be you!

Warbler no more...

Once dubbed by me as the Warbler, the name of this mysterious radio signal has been changed to the Wobbler.

The reasons for the change were to avoid confusion with what I discovered to be the name of a bird.  .
Since the sound of the bird has no resemblance to the radio signal, this original choice of name became inappropriate.  There was also a very good description I had heard of the radio signal; that it sounded like a thin sheet of steel being shaken...or wobbled, hence this new name choice.  An added plus is that birders will not be disappointed when Googling their favorite bird, and radio enthusiasts will avoid all of the bird...information a search on Warbler would produce.
